Assassinations of famous and political figures have been going on since the Roman times. If there's a leader that you don't like, some believe that killing him or her will solve all your problems. We know this really isn't the case. But looking back in history, if Robert Kennedy would have lived to be elected president of the United States, what would be different today in this country? Would another Kennedy president have made such a difference in what our country would have become? Of course, we will never know.
The same can be said for John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and for that matter, Lincoln, McKinley, Garfield, etc., etc., etc. And again, we will never know what a difference these men would have made to society in general.
This blog looks at the guns and other weapons that have been used to stop these men from making those changes. When we look back to these events, most check out the victims, the assassins, etc. But the artifacts that last the longest in their original form is the actual weapons that were used. Some make it to museums while others simply linger in the files and evidence boxes at police departments and FBI warehouses. Here, however, you will see these weapons up close. No tiny thumbnail images here.
